El Monte RV's flex rates are available only to customers who do not reside in the USA;
i.e. only to those persons whose driver's license and passport (or other appropriate documents) show they reside

El Monte RV's standard rates are available to all clients, regardless of residency.

By "flex rates" we mean: (a) the rates are regularly re-set — every Sunday, in El Monte RV's case —
relative to supply and demand considerations;
and (b) within such weekly re-determined set of flex rates (i.e. a snapshot of a year or more of rates)
the flex rates for a particular vehicle can vary as frequently as every week thereof,
this threshold being Wednesday with El Monte RV.
Therefore if your travel dates are flexible, try changing your pick-up date forward and backward relative to that Wednesday threshold;
you might thus discover a considerably lower rate for the same or similar vehicle.
Moreover, flex rates tend to favor the customer insofar as the
customer places an order long before the pick-up date.
A particular flex rate is associated with a particular vehicle,
pick-up location, and pick-up date
— actually, with each Wednesday–Tuesday duration —
and determines the nightly El Monte RV flex rate through the 40th day of the rental,
at which point in the computation the flex rate for days 41–80 is set based on the 41st day,
and so on for every 40 days of the computation. Of course the IdeaMerge online order software performs such computation. …
El Monte RV's standard rates are re-determined frequently (about two or three times a month) relative to supply and demand considerations.
A particular standard rate is associated with a particular vehicle,
pick-up location and rental night.

e.g. El Monte's one-time prep fee (which differs between the rate types) and any taxes and fees imposed by state governments. Of course our software
